My Motorcycles

I learned to ride late in life. As I told my wife, "For my midlife crisis, it's either a blond or a motorcycle." I gave her the choice and fortunate for me, she chose the motorcycle. I don't believe I could handle a blond and a brunette. Here are pictures of my midlife crisis.

This is my first. She's a 1978 Suzuki GS 750.
This was a great bike to learn on. Not to fast, and well balanced.
I prefered riding her naked, with no fairing or sissybar. Both came with the bike, but the experience was much more enjoyable without.
This is about the mileage she had when I sold her, 31183 miles. I purchased her with 26000 miles on the clock. In just over a year, my first year, I rode over 5000 miles.
Here's my current ride. A 2005 Yamaha V Star 1100 Custom. A bit of an upgrade over the Suzuki.
I also enjoy riding her naked, without the fairing. I feel much more connected with the bike without the fairing.
She's a nice cruiser. I replaced the factory seat with a Mustang seat to be able to ride her longer. The factory seat was a real pain in the butt. If you ride long distance, spend the money and get a Mustang. It is well worth the money.
In 2008 I've ridden almost 7000 miles. One trip to Arkansas, and one to the Black hills in South Dakota.
